“The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a reminder to us all how precious our freedoms are and our thoughts and prayers continue for the people of Ukraine who are caught up in this conflict. We continue to pray for a swift and peaceful end to the conflict and that the values of freedom and justice will prevail.
“I am so proud of the unity and strength of our YMCA European and global movement who have responded so quickly to help those caught up in the conflict. In Ukraine itself, our YMCAs continue to offer hope and sanctuary, whilst neighbouring countries like the Czech Republic, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia have mobilised support for those fleeing Ukraine. YMCAs across England and Wales will do everything they can to support and resource our colleagues during these dark times.”
