This is YMCA Newcastle’s 170th anniversary year and we and modernising our organisation for the future, do you have the skills, experience and ambition to help redesign and modernise our youth work services?

We are seeking a number of outcome and results focused, creative and dynamic youth workers to work with our core delivery team and deliver our varied programme of support services. Last year 3,295 young people used our services.

We need sessional staff to deliver focused small group activities such as;

  • Dance
  • Film making
  • Photography
  • Music
  • Singing
  • Fashion
  • Hair and beauty
  • Health
  • Diet, nutrition, cooking
  • Wellbeing
  • Exercise, sport, outdoor activities
  • Employment support, CV writing, mock interviews
  • Crisis support

You will need to be able to generate high quality sessions that link to our digital content which connects young people globally.

The sessional content will depend on the young people’s needs but you may have the skill and knowledge to put on different sessions or be able to create and run new and engaging programmes that are not on the list above.
