Our hall is available to hire and our 5 star rated hygiene kitchen offers a catering service.

Walker Help Hub

YMCA Newcastle has established the Help Hub to support our community in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Help Hub can offer support and advice around a range of issues including;

  • housing and tenancy management
  • employment and training, relationships
  • welfare
  • mediation
  • arrears, debt and budgeting
  • as well as any other issues you may be facing

Walker Park Baby & Toddler Group

Come along to Walker Park Baby and Toddler Group, Thursdays 10.30-12 at Walker Park Cafe and Centre, ran by YMCA Walker project.

The group has a fantastic range of toys and soft play for babies and toddlers aged 0-5 to enjoy free of charge and we offer a range of activities and support.

YMCA Youth Workers are available for advice and support regarding welfare, housing, health and childcare provision at each session.

Young at Heart Club

Come along to our events for older adults on Wednesday afternoons at Walker Park Centre- return, mini-bus transport provided.

From Elvis events to pie and peas suppers and from bingo to tea dances, there are plenty of activities to get involved in and opportunities to make friends.

There’s also opportunities to take part in focus groups exploring loneliness among older adults in Walker.
